Education was influenced by COVID 19 forcing governments around the world to close educational centers, where the use of online learning platforms (LMS) became a necessity. This paper aims to conduct a literature review on technological strategies for students to achieve competencies. Fifty articles indexed in Scopus and ScienceDirect databases were reviewed, the publication years were between 2017 - 2023, using search terms related to the topic discussed. The results indicated that using LMSs increases student engagement, motivation and collaboration of their own learning process and that these should work in conjunction with videoconferencing platforms. It is concluded that with LMS and videoconferencing platforms, more holistic educational experiences can be created in the digital world.
