El Funcionamiento familiar como predictor de la agresividad en adolescentes

Resumen
Esta investigación muestra el rol predictor del funcionamiento familiar sobre la agresividad en adolescentes peruanos. Los enfoques teóricos que sustentan el estudio, son la teoría Estructural del funcionamiento familiar de Minuchin y la teoría de la agresividad de Buss. El estudio es de carácter cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y predictivo. La muestra fue no probabilística, con 266 adolescentes. Se utilizó el Test APGAR familiar y el Cuestionario de Agresividad. Los resultados demuestran que el funcionamiento familiar predice significativamente la agresividad en los adolescentes. El modelo, explica un 23,3 % de la variancia, destacándose el peso predictivo de la funcionalidad familiar; asimismo, existen diferencias en el perfil general del funcionamiento familiar según género, a diferencia de la agresividad, donde no hay diferencias. Por otro lado, la asociación entre las variables fue estadísticamente significativa. A partir de los resultados, se concluye que se pueden plantear intervenciones que contemplen los factores predictores de mayor incidencia sobre la agresividad durante la adolescencia, planteando acciones de prevención de la agresividad y promoción del funcionamiento familiar.
